Grumman HU-16E Albatross (aka Goat) from Kodiak lands at the gravel airstrip at Cape Sarichef with logistics supplies. A few months earlier, on 8 Feb 1967, another HU-16E from Kodiak, on a similar logistics flight to St Paul LORAN crash landed on it's 4th attempt in foul weather and poor visibility (very typical of Cape Sarichef as well). One Airman, AT2 Frank R. Edmonds was fatally injured in the crash.
