Memories For This Unit

Best Moment
Leaving the oh-my-god size bugs, snakes, and green-headed flys behind when we left.

Worst Moment
Arriving on the island with Barb who was 5 months pregnant and learning that there is no housing, the only doctor on the island does not handle maternaty cases, and the nearest hospital is Elizabeth City (2 hours away). There is no TV on the island and if you don't hunt or fish, you are in for a very long winter season.

Other Memories
Ten years after we left, we returned for a vacation. Funny, it was a lot more fun knowing that you didn't have to say there.
