Rick Biddle was born in Los Angeles, California on May 9, 1927 to John and Frances Biddle. He entered the Gates of Heaven on October 2, 2015 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 88.In 1929 after the death of his father he went to live at the VFW home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard near the end of World War II, where he proudly served his country as a Corpsman.Rick and Helen were married in 1950, they were married for 65 wonderful years.Rick spent much of his working life in the Agricultural Business in Ventura County which included crop dusting, tractor sales and produce plant management. He worked 20 years for Pleasant Valley Vegetable Co-Op and finished his working career at Mission Produce in Oxnard, California.After retirement, he and Helen traveled and camped extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe which included shipping of their Volkswagen Camper Van to Europe which they used on several trips and had many wonderful adventures. Rick had a full life which included many interests such as hunting, fishing, pigeon racing, sailing (which he sailed in the Trans Pac Race to Hawaii in 1969). He also enjoyed his Hobie Cat sailing. He then got involved in Off Road Racing which included building and racing a Baja Bug in the Baja 1000 in 1987. Rick was a member of Oxnard First Presbyterian Church for 55 years and enjoyed singing in the church choir.In his later years, he enjoyed golfing with friends and working at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard, California. His sense of humor and love of family will be missed by all he touched. He is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Beverly Ragan, son Jeffrey (Cheryl) Biddle of Suwanee, Georgia, daughter Gail (Steve) Tebbets and son, Scott Biddle. Grandchildren Doug, Jeremy, Sarah, Karie, Brian, Jessica and Dustin. Great Grandaughters, Kelsea, Henley, Aspyn and Lillian. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Red and cat Westie.
