From humble beginnings on a small farm in Georgia, Jim & Grady Stribling advanced way beyond their expectations; completing a combined total of 45 1/2 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, 1958 - 1985. We will never forget the adventure, camaraderie, and purpose for which we were both called. From the Atlanta, GA Recruiting Office to isolated duty at Cape Athol, Greenland; patroling the Bering Sea of Alaska; Ocean Station "November" and "Charlie Patrols"; maintaining aids-to-navigation and supervising the unloading of ammonition from ships in Vietnam; busting drug smugglers off the northwest and Florida coasts; and the maintenance of aids-to-navigation along our nation's waterways. We are proud to have walked in the footsteps of those that came before us and pray God's Blessing's on our Brothers that are also called.
